Since 2010, the Startup Xucker has become the name for a low-calorie alternative to traditional sugar. That is, it is about the sweetener erythritol or xylitol. Sweets, jams or snacks are sweetened with Xucker and should taste as usual as always - with the difference that they contain no sugar. In a time when many people avoid sugar like vampires avoid light, a classic recipe for success. The big drawback: alternatives, such as erythritol or xylitol, if they are consumed in large quantities, have a laxative effect - sometimes the effect on a few people even after consuming a small amount. In addition, it must not be forgotten that the sugar substitute is not exactly cheap - one kilogram of xylitol is 10 euros. That a Xucker chocolate then ever costs 2 euros, so is no surprise. And yet you should not be upset about the sales and profit figures - since the year 2012 Xucker namely namely always in the black.
Figures prove: Xucker is more successful than ever
In 2017, a net profit of 717,924 euros was booked by the young company, which has not yet needed any external capital. The turnover amounted to 12 million euros, in the year 2016 one achieved a conversion of 8.5 million euro. Fact is: The Xucker-makers have found their niche, in which they can defend their place well among the competitors. Interesting are the next years - is there still a growth potential or is the young company already at the top? The fact is: In 2012, the profit for the year was 25,787 euros, 2013 cracked the first time the 100,000 euro limit (172,481 euros) and 2014 then the 200,000 euros limit (207,736 euros). If the net income for the year was 260,615 euros in 2015, a surplus of 731,288 euros was posted for 2016 and a surplus of 717,924 euros for 2017.
